Peoria Ballet Dancing in the PARC...
The Peoria Ballet dance therapy class has been making PARC participants feel light on their feet since 2002. That is when Peoria Ballet relocated to Industrial Road and became our neighbors. PARC dancers travel by bus to the dance studio for the dance therapy classes.
Peoria Ballet’s dance instructor Pat White leads the dance classes with enthusiasm and excitement that is contagious. “ I love to teach students who have such passion for movement and music,” said Ms. White. Rebekah von Rathonyi, the Academic Director at The Peoria Ballet, and Erich Yetter, the Artistic Director, feel that the class is an important part of Peoria Ballet’s mission. All involved agree that “dance is a feeling in your heart, not the talent in your feet.”
