PARC Community Living Overview
Opening doors to new opportunities!
PARC offers a variety of community living styles.
22 Group Homes
- 18 are CILA (Community Integrated Living Arrangement) sites.
-
A CILA is a combination of supports and services
individually tailored for an adult with developmental disabilities. The primary goal of CILAs is to help the individual become more independent in daily living, more involved in his or her own community and more economically self-sufficient. CILAs are managed by community-based service provider agencies. DHS licenses and monitors the agencies.
-
- 4 are Intermediate Care facility (ICF) sites.
- The ICF/DD benefit is an optional Medicaid benefit.
Currently, all 50 States have at least one ICF/DD facility. There is a major shift in thinking in the field of developmental disabilities. Emphasis is now on people living in their own homes, controlling their own lives and being an integral part of their home community.
- The ICF/DD benefit is an optional Medicaid benefit.
2 Apartment Complexes, totaling 20 apartment units
- Apartment living allows individuals to live in the community with minimal supports. Both buildings are located in the Peoria area.
All our group homes are located in the Peoria and East Peoria area. This style of community living allows individuals to have 24-hour support.
16 Host Family sites in Peoria and Tazewell counties. Host Family allows individuals to experience a family setting while striving to achieve their dreams.

How do I get access to PARC Services?
To access PARC Community Living services Contact the local Independent Service Coordination (ISC) agency in the Peoria area. These agencies are the "front door" to Illinois' state-funded service system. The ISC agency will perform a Pre-Admission Screening to document that the individual is eligible for the service and that the service is in the least restrictive setting appropriate to his or her needs. Also known as PAS/ISCs, these agencies help develop a service plan tailored to the individual's needs and make referrals to local service providers.
The ISC agency to contact in Peoria is:
