America's Giving Challenge

Become a part of
PARADE Magazine’s America’s Giving Challenge in partnership with the
Case Foundation. The Challenge is designed to encourage people who do not consider themselves to be philanthropist to go online to support a cause. The goal of the Challenge is to get young people to identify with charitable efforts and in turn inspire their friends to join in support or their cause. The focus is on the fact that with as little as $10 anyone can make a difference.
The Case Foundation has partnered with
PARADE Magazine and
Network for Good to promote the Challenge. Network for Good is a secure online database with lists of not-for-profit organizations and their financial information. A “sister” giving challenge is featured on the social networking site
Facebook. Through
Facebook, you can donate to any federally designated tax-exempt charity through its “causes” application. Your donations and causes are displayed in your user profile.
The Challenge begins December 13, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. EST and will close January 31, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. EST. There are two ways to get involved with America’s Giving Challenge.
- Champion a Cause and have the chance to get $50,000 for PARC. The top eight “Charity Badges” that attract the most unique donors through America’s Giving Challenge will get $50,000 for their cause.
- Give to a Cause and help PARC get $1,000. The 100 not-for-profits with the highest number of unique donations through Network for Good will each get $1,000 in addition to the individual donations.
About the Case Foundation
Jean and Steve Case founded the
Case Foundation in 1997 to reflect their family’s commitment to finding lasting solutions to complex social challenges.

The foundation pursues a number of initiatives including encouraging collaboration, supporting successful leaders, and fostering entrepreneurship in the not-for-profit sector.
Champion PARC
Using new and innovative online tools, you have the opportunity to get $50,000 for PARC by starting your own Challenge Campaign. Select PARC as your charity, visit the appropriate partner site, fill out some basic information, then start your Challenge Campaign with your very own “charity badge.” The badge is an easy-to-use online tool that includes information about your cause, PARC, and a “donate now” features. Simply e-mail or electronically share your bade with friends, family, and your online social network. It’s that easy.
The Challenge is targeted to anyone with access to the Internet and a willingness to “think out of the box” and try something new. Here is a way to turn your commitment to advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities into direct support for PARC. Make your everyday online activities such as e-mailing, blogging, and social networking make a difference in our community.
Give to PARC

For as little as $10, you can
support PARC’s mission to provide choices for a quality life to individuals with developmental disabilities and make a positive difference in the community. You can give directly through PARC’s website at
www.PARCway.org or through
Network for Good.
