PARC will "Rock" N "Roll" at the 121st Annual Santa Claus Parade

PARC is pleased to announce that it will participate in the 121st  Annual Santa Clause Parade on Friday, November 28, 2008 (the day after Thanksgiving). This year's parade theme is "Rock'n & Roll'n Christmas." In keeping with that theme, PARC's float theme is "Rock" N "Roll" at PARC.

PARC participants have been busy creating their float entry. For a sneak peak at the designers at work, visit the PARC Photo Gallery. Over 50 PARC staff and participants are working together to create and man the float. All of the event participants will be walking, "rocking," or "rolling" day of the parade.

Special thanks go to PARC staff members Angie Holliger and Wayne Stogsdill for all their efforts coordinating PARC's participation in the parade!

The Peoria Santa Claus Parade is the nation’s longest-running holiday parade. The festive tradition began in 1887 and marks the beginning of the holiday season in Peoria.

The parade lasts from 10:15 am to noon in downtown Peoria and will feature a judged competition of floats, novelty and horse units. The parade will be telecast live on WMBD-TV and has been sponsored by South Side Bank for the past 51 Years. The parade route begins on Monroe by Bryan Streets to Main Street, to Jefferson Street, to Liberty Street, to Adams Street, ending at the Peoria County Courthouse.

PARC invites you to get into the holiday spirit with us at the 121st Annual Santa Claus Parade!
