PARC Participants Get Fired Up for the Benefit Auction
On Tuesday, July 16, 2008 PARC participants visited the Fired Up pottery studio located at 4532 N. Prospect Road in Peoria Heights to let their creativity flow. They found a perfect hands-on activitiy that let imaginations run wild!
Participants transformed a farrow of pottery piglets into adorable piggy banks ready to "go to market." These PARC Piggy Banks will go on the auction block at the 2008 PARC Benefit Auction.
Funds raised through this event go to PARC programs and services. Auction attendees know their contributions to PARC are a wise investment because 89% of every dollar spent by PARC goes directly to PARC programs.
PARC participants hand painted and fired 8 large and 5 small piggy banks to be auction off at the 2008 PARC Benefit Auction on Friday, September 12, 2008 at the Par-A-Dice Hotel ballroom. Several fun paint techniques were employed by the participants, ranging from splatter to bubble.
Alexa Polito and Miles Voorhees, PARC Youth Volunteers, assisted PARC participants with the transformation of the plain pigletts into posh PARC Piggy Banks.
Fired Up staff provided a fun and stimulating environment for the participants and helped them transform the pigs into works of art.
You too can get Fired Up with a Pottery Painting Party for 6 and a Gift Basket donated by Fired Up to the 2008 PARC Benefit Auction.
