Bergner's Continues Its Support of PARC
Twice a year, Bergner's hosts a Community Day event to raise money for organizations like PARC. It's a day of shopping and fun, and a great opportunity for PARC to raise much-needed funds! PARC recently partcipated in the March 1, 2008 Bergner's Community Days event.
PARC is happy to announce that we received a check for $593.77 from The Bon-Ton Stores Inc., Bergner's Grand Prairie parent corporation, as part of the March 1, 2008 Bergner's Community Days event. This money was donated by Bergner’s Grand Prairie to PARC in addition to the funds PARC raised through selling the Bergner’s Community Day coupon booklets. In total, PARC raised over $2,000.00 through this event!
PARC volunteers like the Burch Family (Tom, Debbie Tyler, and Kelsey) and members of PARC Host Family program manned tables at the Bergner’s Grand Prairie store entrance on several selling dates and sold the Bergner’s Community Day Booklets throughout the weeks leading up to the March 1st event. The booklets sold for $5.00 each with 100% of the proceeds going to PARC.
PARC received the matching funds check from The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. because our sales of booklets were in the top 25% of qualifying agencies. The $593.77 check represents an equal share from the booklets that Bergner’s associates sold in stores.
