Friends Take Us Out to the Ballpark
PARC participants and members of the Order of Alhambra Ziryab Caravan #52 enjoyed an evening out at the ballpark on Saturday, June 28, 2008. Everyone attending enjoyed the action as the Peoria Chiefs took on the Kane County Cougars at O'Brien Field.
It was a beautiful summer evening. Perfect for a night at the ballpark. Particpants watched an action packed game that went into overtime to see the Peoria Chiefs victorious over the Kane County Cougars.
This Chiefs outing is an annual event where several "Friends of PARC" join forces to provide choices for a quality life to individuals with developmental disabilities. The members of the Order of Alhambra Ziryab Caravan #52 come together with PARC participants and staff for an evening of comradery and fun.
Tickets to the game were courtesy of Caterpillar Inc. And what game would be complete without hotdogs, chips, peanuts and an ice cold drink to wash it all down with. Food and drinks were provided by The Knights of Columbus Spalding Council.
PARC is thankful to have the continued support of so many great friends like the Order of Alhambra Ziryab Caravan # 52, The Knights of Columbus Spalding Council, and Caterpillar Inc.
