Support Services
Support Services provide nursing and therapy services to participants of PARC’s Community Living Services and Rehabilitation Services programs.
Nursing Services
The mission of the Nursing Department is to coordinate the needed medical supports to help individuals maintain the best health possible. This is done through the coordination of medical services with community based medical providers and direct nursing support. Our nurses ensure individuals receive prescribed medications and treatments, assess and treat injuries and illness, and conduct staff training.
Therapy Services
Occupational Therapy's mission is to provide developmentally appropriate activities so persons served can develop skills needed to maximize their independence in leisure, work and self-care activities and improve the quality of their lives. Some of the services and supports offered by the Occupational Therapy department include evaluations, sensory integration therapy, application of splints and orthotics, and, identifying and obtaining assistive and adaptive devices to assist individuals with eating, bathing, grooming and dressing.
The Physical Therapy department's primary goal is to assist individuals in living productive lives through the prevention, correction or alleviation of a physical disability and the promotion of the individual’s physical well being and fitness. Services and supports offered by the Physical Therapy department include range of motion, gait training and activities to increase endurance and strength.
Upon admission to PARC, each participant receives an individual Occupational and Physical therapy evaluation. Not all individuals evaluated receive direct therapy services and may only receive general recommendations. Individuals, may however, be put on a waiting list for direct services.

PARC’s Physical Therapy Assistants are board certified and licensed in the State of Illinois through the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (DFPR).
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants are board certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and licensed through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
