Breanna Anderson Wins Literacy Award

Breanna Anderson is one of ten individuals in the State of Illinois to receive a Literacy Award from the Secretary of State’s office.
Breanna is a participant in PARC’s Young Adults classroom where continuing education is the focus.
In 2009 a representative from the Secretary of State’s office offered testing, training to staff and reading supplies for PARC’s Young Adults classroom. After completing the literacy program the staff person from the Secretary of State’s office nominated Breanna for the Literacy Award. To be nominated Breanna had to write a narrative on the importance of literacy to her.
The Awards Ceremony was in Springfield, IL on May 12th where the Secretary of State, Jesse White, presented her with the award.
